Karen Epstein, LGPC
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for my adolescent and adult clients to discover their strengths, gain greater self-awareness and improve their overall emotional health. My approach is open, warm and collaborative, and I customize treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. I utilize different approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, to empower my clients to both understand and overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I also have worked extensively with clients who have traumatic stress and are survivors of domestic violence. I am trained in the practice of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) for the treatment of trauma.
